Sustainable Schools Initiative - from Awareness to Action

The Sustainable Schools Initiative or Al Madaris Al Mustadama is a ‘whole school' initiative that reaches out to students, parents, teachers, administrative staff and the neighbourhood community. It is also one of the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi's flagship projects for implementation in its quest to move towards a sustainable environment for a sustainable future.

The project has been designed and developed by the Agency to capacity build schools and the school community to assess and address their own environmental impacts in addition to rolling its sustained environmental education programmes and activities for the whole school community.
